How and when you start your business?
Manco Rail has been manufacturing rail equipment for over 40 years. Originally, we manufactured Palfinger Truck cranes for 18 years for Palfinger of Austria for Australasia.
We also have an environmental equipment supply company, but rail products are becoming our main activity.
 
What is your strong point, which are the differences between your company/service and competitors?
We have a strong young passionate design team that thinks "outside the square ". We align ourselves with quality component suppliers and equipment partners that enhance our products and our reputation. We respect our client base immensely and appreciate the trust they have in us when making a capital investment in our products.
 
Why Omac?
We looked for a company that had a first-class reputation when we decided to offer advanced tensioning technology in our region. Besides Omac there was only one other company. When we approached Omac we found a company that understood our requirements and responded promptly to our requests. We believe Omac have the same business values and ethics as Manco - so this creates a true partnership.
 
Which are your market challenges for the future?
We are focused on rail overhead wire installations and maintenance. We are now moving into tunnel applications as well. Working in a tunnel environment is very challenging with dimensional and emissions restrictions.
 
Do you have any suggestions for improving the partnership?
No, we feel we are already in a privileged position with Omac. Through our encouragement Omac now offers a full range of Rail Over Head Wire equipment, tensioners, wire masts and pantographs.
